i filled up a nearly empty tank w/ gas containing 10% ethanol. the next morning when i started the car it was idling rough and seemed to lack any throttle response. after a few miles everything seemed ok, but it still feels like im not getting my money's worth. im running the predator perf. tune w/ a c&l cai. has anyone had any kind of problems w/ ethanol?

I ran E 85 in my 5.4 F 150 once, don't do this unless you have a bi-fuel engine. You are throwing away you money and been told over time this can ruin an engine too.

e85 and 10% ethanol blend are very different. the 10% blend should not cause any issues, unless something in the tune makes it different. if it just did it for a few moments, i would say it was a glitch. if it was that close to empty, you may have actually ran out of gas in the lines, and then the new fuel caught up.

We call it winter gas because it is like gasline Antifreeze. It doesn't affect the car much.

I've used the 89 octane (10% ethanol) since I bought my car, and before and after the new Brenspeed tune and C & L Racer CAI and the only problem I have is avoiding
a ticket. Hmm, maybe it is the gas.

Almost everything here has at least 10% ethanol. No problems and gas mileage seems to be about what everyone else gets. 16-20 city and 23-28 hwy.

Even w/ the lead right foot I still get 19-20 city and 26-28 hwy and that is w/o any long highway trips yet to really get a good average. I'll let you know after WFC10 which is about 600 miles one-way w/ several other 'Stang friends doing 80 most of the way. If you live anywhere near Indy check it out the weekend before the 500 at O'Reilly Raceway Park.
