Before you buy those,
Go to the window and throw money out of it.
Then Shave your eyebrows off.

Then you know how stupid you'll feel, while at the same time getting funny looks from the people you meet for buying them.

You know I've done some stupid sht to cars over the last 45 years. None more stupid than what I did to the 69 Mach 1 that was the first car that I actually paid for.

I put pinstripe tape on every body line on that car.
I drilled a hole in the passenger side rear quarter panel, and put an 8' tall whip CB antenna on there, then tied a small American flag on top of that.
I had a CB in a Mach 1.
I put one of the most stupid hood scoops ever made on that hood to cover a gigantic hole I cut in it. A scoop that was originally campaigned by Grumpy Jenkins on his pro-stock vega, and subsequent Monza during the late 70's and early 80's
I put a really dorky looking box hood scoop designed to cover the tunnel rammed pro stock engine in a Chevy, and put it on a ford, back when Glidden was the king of pro stock.
* And I didn't need to even have a hole in the hood..there was no intake made for a 351 back then that raised the carb any higher than 1" over stock.
I put a 5.43 rear gear in the car and basically forced the engine immediately out of its power band, all for the sake of a really quick 60'. After that the car promptly nosed over, and just made noise through the 1/4 mile that It took 14 seconds to get through.

I did some really hideous, stupid sht.

It took ridicule, and peer pressure from the older guys that I hung around with back then to change me from from being a street stroke, into somebody that actually did tasteful stuff to a car.

So call it "paying it forward" . When people plan to do stupid sht. They need to know it's stupid sht.

I understand that it's an aesthetic thing, but wouldn't you agree that head lights are a little different than hood scoops? I don't mind if other people think my car is tasteful or not. The whole car is Calypso Green except for the front passenger side fender, which is white and I'm just stickerbombing the whole thing instead of getting a new, Calypso one. I'm not really asking if it'll look good, I'm just trying to find out if anybody has any sets of cheaper-than-Ebay prices+shipping Euro Tail lights. Lol. Again though, thank you for the tips and advice so far everybody! All is appreciated!

:thinking:Hmmmmm...this is gonna be a tough one,......do I spend 150-180.00 on a set of junk tail lights, or do I have my white fender repainted to match my car?.....decisions, decisions.....

If the price is keeping you away from eBay, nobody that resells those things are gonna be any cheaper.

Save your money. Get your freakin fender repainted to match the car.

Why does everyone knock on Euro tail lights on these cars? I adore the way they look haha. Nonetheless, thank you for the tip!
For me they just look cheap. Kinda like those spinner hubcap things you could by at Walmart back in the 90s. I've seen a few factory cars with the real shiny tail lights that look OK, but when I see them on old cars they just dont look right. If you do get them be sure to pick up some of those fake chrome finder vents!

Hey its your car. If you think they look cool go for it. Good luck finding a cheaper set!

I think there are two reasons why you are having a hard time finding them....

#1, they don't make them anymore as the Altezza taillight fad was over around 2003 or so.

#2, It's kinda a "thing" to take them off and smash them with a sledgehammer on the FB groups to prevent anyone else from using them. If you search you'll find vids

Maybe this should be part of the "what parts to hoard" thread.

For the love of whatever you find holy, DO NOT PUT THOSE ON YOUR CAR!! :nono: If you're looking to set it apart a little, find some older Fox tail lights or maybe some Capri tail lights and use them. And, again, for the love of whatever you find holy - DON'T STICKER BOMB YOUR CAR!! :nono: If it's just a piece of trash to you that you want to do these things, I suggest selling it to someone who might like it or who can use it for something more productive. I can't get over how many people "rice out" their Mustangs......

Honestly, I don't think I've ever watched it. I've not been too interested in any of them really once that Charger pulled that ridiculous wheelie in the first one. It's kind of a punchline now when I see ricers.

They put an RB26DETT in a 67 fastback and proceeded to "Drift it" in a race.

At least that kinda makes sense. I mean if they were in Tokyo and all it's probably an easier engine to source? I watched Top Gear USA on Hulu the other day and they were in Cuba, the Cubans have done a lot of similar things to keep those cars on the road. There was a Tri-Five wagon that they stuck a Russian diesel truck's powertrain in to keep it on the road.

As for these tail lights - there's absolutely no reason to change to them unless you like being pointed out and laughed at by car enthusiasts.

Thank you for being one of the only positive people on this forum, I seem to be attracting the twats out of the woodwork haha. If "ricing" my Mustang pisses people off that bad, I'm gonna keep doing it, starting with Enkei 92s, Euro tail lights, :poo: might as well slap a Honda K-series in that bitch just to fume off the rest of these silly people lmao.

PS: Tokyo Drift is /half/ where I draw my build inspiration from, love how they put that RB26 in the old school 'Stang. I've seen clips of people sticking waaaaaay worse things on/in their Foxes, so if my own touches are THAT bad, then anyone who disagrees can write their opinion down on a piece of paper, fold it up, then shooooove it~
