Hello once more,

I have planned to install my Borla Stingers this Sunday and was wondering:

In regards to sound, I want the beefiest, heart pounding exhaust I can get, but also want the exhaust to compliment the headers and vice-versa, so...

What are the best headers to combine with Borla Stingers, and where would I view modification specifications dealing with performance?

Also, I am fairly certain I will leave my stock H-Pipe on my GT, does anyone recommend differently? If so, for what reason?

I hear the H-Pipe keeps the sound at a lower tone, so I am reluctant to switch to an X-Pipe, I would like to know any performance benefits for this switch as well.

Thanks again for everyone's input.

I love this site!

It's been discussed a million times...

H pipe works best with chambered mufflers (aka Flowmasters)
X pipe works best with straight-thru mufflers (like your Stingers)

Keeping the stock H pipe is a mistake. With 4 cats and only 2.25" piping, it's a huge restriction. You need an aftermarket midpipe.

I ran the Borla Stinger Catback with an offroad X on my 02 GT. It was loud.

For headers...you'd be best with long tubes, but they are more expensive and the install is tough. And with them, you'll need a different midpipe. But if you want any decent HP gains, they are the way to go. BBK, SLP, Kooks are the most popular, also Hooker and Flowpath.

Best of luck.

I have magnapack mufflers (very close to stingers) and a MRT catted H. I love the sound of the catted H with strait thru mufflers. Just listen to my sound clip below if you want to get an idea of how it sounds.
