what do you think or how much better will these flow over the stock heads. i have a set of stock heads that are ported and polished and the valves are releived with dual valve springs and 1.6 crane roller rocker's with i beleive 194 valves. we measured them with a tape and they were just under 2". i dynoed at 227hp and 283tq, how much will i gain with these and will my stock push rod's work or will i need new ones? peace

Are the ported heads E7's? If you don't know, look for the casting number which should be on the part of the head that would be against the block when installed. Look where the exhaust runners are. Much depends on the quality of work done, but bigger valves will help. Where did you get these heads? Are they red?

I still need the casting number. If you can take an intake and exhuast valve out and post of picture of the bowls as well as the runners, I could tell you more. Measure the intake valves carefully, they could be 1.94's 1.90's 1.85's 1.78's etc. What size are the exhaust valves?

I sold a set of ported E7's that were painted Old Ford Red, but I did not sell an entire engine.

Where are you located?

As stated, who did the porting? If quality CNC work was done, coupled with the right valves (usually chevy valves), you may be able to outflow stock GT-40P's. If you fell into the trap that my friend did, you may have ended up with a set of poorly done E7TE's, or DOAE truck heads. If you want an idea of the max cfm that a well-done set of E7TE's can flow, check out CNC power heads on the net. They are, to my knowledge, the best flowing E7TE's available. It is easy to screw up a port job on a set of E7TE's if you are not well enough informed. Removing material in the wrong area without adding it in other areas can cost you power, rather than net you any gain. This is why it is hard for me to tell you exactly what you bought. If you can, post some pictures.
