Ever considered converting to Carb?

Thats the hard part. Id rather tune with a screwdriver then a $$computer and all the supporting material. Seems easier to me.

FI is def. awsome though. Im just not into it that much.

Well if you have a "tuner" local to you, then its not hard at all.. A tune w/ chip cost me 500 on my 95.. The tuner spent 4-5 hours getting it perfect. HP/TQ was up from when i brought it in, it idled steady, cold starts were perfectly fine, basically the drivability was perfect. He spent a good amount of time to make it just right. TO ME thats easy, cause i didnt have to do anything :D Well i did have to shell out 500... But well worth it to me

If your looking to go as fast as you can n/a or with n20.. I can see going to a carb(given you know how to tune it). But if you want great streetibilty(things i mentioned above) and are willing to leave some hp/tq on the table to get that streetability, then FI is the way to go.

I think we finally have a thread that is making the main point, both have there ups and downs, but you cant really compare them, becuase the use of the car is the most important thing. You can make more power with carb, but have more problems with changes in the weather and stuff.

Sorry, took me a while to get home. Long flight from AK to TX.
I got tired of having to get the computer to accept the changes I make on a regular basis. And I agree 100% that I rather do my tuning with a screwdriver and timing light than a laptop or hand held tuner. The carb is just so easy to work on. Not to mention all the extra room under the hood now. There is only about a 5-10 hp loss at low rpm vs the EFI. However the carb walks away in the higher rpm range. And since that's the range I'm in while on the track.... I chose OLD SCHOOL.:nice:
