Coast makes a quality product. I don't know if it'll rub on the tunnel though if you're lowered. Spydershaft's taper from 4" to 3.5" so they don't rub on the tunnel.

What about the Roush trak pak driveshaft? I hear those can be had for pretty cheap as they are being cleared out.

i have been on roush's website many times, and never seen a driveshaft offered? i just looked now too. have a link? i would like to pick one up cheap.

Sorry it was the Drag Pak driveshaft and I think Stage3 and a couple of other places had it.

I installed my coast shaft about a year and a half ago in my garage, and made about 200 1/4 mile passes with it. Haven't had one problem with it, the car feels smoother and I picked up about 2 tenths at the strip. Money well spent .

You shaved off .2 at the track just like the spydershaft?

Yea about 2 tenths & 1 mph, 60' went from 1.8x to 1.7x. I got mine directly from coast too.

As I understand it, we have two-piece driveshafts. Why? I thought only trucks with really long drive shafts needed two-piece to keep from whipping.

2 piece shaft?

WHY,,,fords better idea... our family buisness was driveshafts,,,after my 20yrs of fixing and making them ,,i say it thier for viberations,,,chevy tryed with the camaro,,no luck ,,,i also have been out of the buisness for 10 yrs now and have only seen pictures of the new shaft,,,lol for hours,,,,im also still vote for steel (steel vs alum) FWIW they are all ok , for your own research The Expert - Librarian - Information for driveshafts, u-joints, axles, heavy axles, light axles, Driveline

Easy. The S197 and 2004+ F150 are notorious for being very touchy to vibrations. The two piece driveshaft helps cut down on vibrations. Tons of people do not have problems with an aluminum one piece driveshaft though.

does anyone have this shaft and more than a 1.5 inch drop? I want to get this shaft but am afraid it'll rub.

I'm liking the coast. I just hope my Roush suspension won't give me issues with it.
