well i was pullin the spark plugs to try and get a reading on them...ive never heard/seen pink before!?!? i pulled them and they were dry, clean, and white with a pink tint to them?? they werent brown/tan like there supposed to be so obviously im running lean correct??? i dont see how that is possible when i have a 255 fuel pump and 24# injectors???? could a stock fuel pressure regulator be the culprit?? whats the deal with adjustable fpr's?? heard they dont do anything because the computer will always readjust the fuel pressure anyway???
thx alot

Never seen a pink plug, I assume Barbies vette might have em but.....as far as fprs, mine is not connected to my computer and while the computer sends a signal to the fuel pump to turn on, thats as far as it goes as far as I know. Think of one as a valve that you can adjust the threshold of when it opens, returning anything above that pressure, to the tank. Thats how it started to make sense to me, but opinions may vary!

I've seen pink, have you?

Anyway, usually pink indicates fuel additives, I've seen many, it doesn't usually change the way the car runs, but it just looks weird.

The pink tint is usually the by-product of the fuel additives being burnt.

Do you use any fuel additives? May also be the gas station, if they add special additives to their gas, like Shell 93 with their "super cleaning agents" that run good in mine for about 1 1/2 tanks then it runs like dog chit. (Just venting)

Does the computer show any codes for being lean?

I've seen the same thing from running fuel additives. I mostly use Lucas and Seafoam and my plugs usualy have a bit of a pink tint.

check engine light doesn't have to be on for the computer to be throwing codes.

does anyone know about the fuel pressure regulator stuff??? i searched for a half hour and got mixed answers....some say they work others say the computer compensates for the adjusted fuel pressure and sets back to stock anyway?
thx
