First and foremost, i would like to say, **** the Sumitomo tire company!!!

My current mods are BBK CAI, Eibach prokit, custom 2.5" o/r x-pipe, custom 2.5" Catback with IMCO mufflers, and custom 93 octane VMP tune with SCT.

These two runs were on Sumitomo 245/45/17's.

R/T .056
60' 2.468
330 6.434
1/8 9.670
mph 76.83
1000 12.403
1/4 14.695
mph 98.57

The second and best run on the night.

r/t .111
60' 2.293
330' 6.254
1/8 9.481
mph 76.93
1000 12.202
1/4 14.486
mph 98.72

Can i please have some feed back on this?

Anything I can do better?

On my best run, I slipped the clutch on a 1500 RPM launch shifted to 2nd at 5500, and powershifted the 2nd-3rd at 5500.

Please let me know.

Your 60' foot time sucks! Get some sticky tires. My truck is stock and has gotten a 2.05 60' with street tires.

2.4 60 fts are not 100% due to the tires, I would say 25% tires, 75% driver.

I have sumitomos on my last car and cut 2.0 60fts.

All you can really do is practice and find what works for you, of course some BFG or Nitto drags would help alot but still takes time to learn to launch.

a high 13 for sure is not there.. and dont expect it. its even unlikely for a good driver to hit high 13's with your setup.

first and foremost, your spring choice is going to hurt you time, not help.

also, the tires are small, so you cant blame summito for what you bought

and you need to shift a bit higher rpm also, just beacuse thats where it stops making power, dosent mean its going to be making any more when you shift back to lower rpm, you need to find that balance

dude i had ****ing cooper trendsetters when i got the car, still pulled a 2.2 60ft.

slapped some 295 BFG KDW2's and im outlaunching awd's. cant wait to get some times this season in a mostly stock (catless xpipe and diablo tuner, nothing else) GT. those tires are very good, it takes effort to even make them spin in the rain.

I ran with sumitimo 315s...best I could do was a 1.99 60'. At the track, the tires SUCK...they were very slick and I was spinning into 2nd gear. On the street, they are almost as sticky as my 275 nitto DRs. (@ track nittos> sumitimos hands down) .

BUT DUDE you have freegin 245s out back! Dont expect much better than that at the track...especially with those tires. For a street car they are GREAT tires...for the track they are not so good.
