I have a 1967 mustang coupe, it has dual exaust but when the previous owner switched from the single exaust they did not put the dual exaust body plate on. Anyway I have the correct body panel but I cant get it off. It comes off to the point where all of the screws are out but the reverse lights will not go through the plate so that it can be removed, I am sure that theydisconnect somewhere but I cannot figure out where. If anyone has dealt with this before please let me know...

There should be an electrical disconnect right behind the "body plate", which is called a rear valance.
