If emissions aren't a concern, I envy you. On top of that, don't ghetto rig it by just cutting off the cats, get an actual off-road x or h pipe and while you're at it, since, once again emissions aren't a problem, get some long tubes.

Oh ya, don't forget to get MIL's so your check engine light won't come on.

Off-road pipes will be significantly louder than a catted pipe.

As for the warranty thing, it's a shady area. Technically Ford cannot void your warranty if the part has nothing to do with something else malfunctioning.

Example, you have an o/r pipe on your car and the CEL comes on. You take it in and they say that the code being transmitted is for your AC. They cannot refuse to service your car because of the O/R pipe. If you are in the same scenario but it's an exhaust issue they are able to turn you down for warranty work.

If you decide to go the route of putting an o/r pipe on your car, just make sure to hang on to your stock pipe. If the CEL ever comes on and your car is still driveable take it to AutoZone and they will read the code for free. If it's something related to the exhaust system, go home and swap the pipes out. If not, just take it to the dealer.
