I have a 94 Auto 5.0 . I know I have O2 sensors in front of my cats, but not sure about behind. Can I run non-catted pipes, or is it gonna be a problem?
If you can pass an inspection without cats, go for the o/r pipe. You will still be able to use your o2 sensors, and also remove all your smog equipment.
And no, I don't believe there is anything else hooked up to the pipe, other than the air injection system for smog.
I am gonna run an OR Pipe I just needed to know about the sensors. I think I'm gonna run BBK Headers ( Shortys) to a BBK OR X pipe kit to a Flowmaster Cat back exhaust system 2.500" all around. If anybody has any other suggestions let me know. Thanks for the previous input guys
We are assuming you dont have emissions - the car wont pass a visual without cats (I was only speaking of issues with the car running and CEL isues before). Parts stores will tell you that you have 4 O2's (mod motor confusion). Wrong.
I run Mac shorties, aftermarket catted H, and a Mac catback on the 94 - I absolutely love the way it sounds. I have an O/R and two chambers on the fox - I dont like it nearly as much. This stuff is tough because the same system doesnt sound the same on any two cars - I only posted what I run on the 94 to say I really like it.
