Exhaust cut outs in GT valance

Can any one tell me the dimensions of the exhaust cut outs in the GT valalance with and with out the trim ring? or what size exhaust they are running through it?

I am considering buying the GT valance & I am trying to figure out if my new exhaust will fit throught the holes
 
I have 3" tips running through mine and have had no issues over 2 years of street duty and 80 or so runs at the drag strip:

I have a GT and just installed the Flowmaster 2 1/2" system which goes straight out under the valence. I measured 3 1/2" diameter holes in the valence with the trim rings on. I was thinking some 3" tips, but it would be tight. I'm going to have a shop make some offsets to get them lined up through the holes. They will have to weld some kind of bracket close to the valence to keep the tips from hitting the openings.
 
Yes you will need the offsets and I have a HD truck type rear bracket attached at the factory support area. Also you will probably need to clearance the LH side of the gas tank too. I removed my tank an, using a piece of wood and a hammer (never striking the tank with the hammer) created a channel in the tank. Really easy to do.

You will have no problem on the RH side getting the tubes aligned in the holes.

Great of you to post the pics, Dennis. So your tips AND exhaust pipes are 3"?

2 1/2" pipes shouldn't need the modification to the tank, should they?

Those mounts are all metal - welded to the frame? Or are they welded to a bolt on bracket? It seems without some kind of rubber isolation, it would vibrate a lot into the car. But in order to keep the 3" tips centered in 3 1/2" holes, the rubber probably would give too much, huh?
 
Tim, I have 2 1/2" pipes with the 3" extensions. You really can't get a 2 1/2" pipe through the valance hole without being too close to the gas tank. Mine was originally 1 /8" before clearancing. You should allow more clearance than that.

Although the brackets shown are welded to the tail pipe, at the top there is a big thick rubber insulator between the frame and the tailpipe bracket. Look at the bottom picture--you can see that the round rod go into a square block of darkness which is the rubber insulator.
