So this guy i work with told me today that he knows of a way to get my Flowmaster 40's to sound a bit louder. Heres the trick... get the mufflers hot, spray 3-4 seconds of water from the hose in them, then drive for a few.
Yep, that trick only worked on the old glasspack mufflers, and only if you did it a bunch of times. I did it to my first car back in high school in the late 80's. All is does is destroy the fiberglass packing, thus getting rid of the sound absortion, thus making them louder. Again, it only works on glasspacks, and only if you want them to eventually rust, ha, ha.
