I am interested in the American Thunder exhaust package - my question is because the tips will not exit in the right location for a GT valance, would a muffler shop with a mandrel bend machine be able to re configure the angle to exit in the correct location?

Is this a bad idea if so any other ideas.......

i doubt you will find a muffler shop with a mandrel bending machine. Im sure on a pipe bender they could fit it for you however. btw why exactly doesn't the kit fit?

I bought some of my stuff like the over the axle pipes, etc and then had the exhaust shop custom fit it. I had an ARTIST do my exhaust work, but you can get a much smoother setup starting with mandrel bent stuff and then having it fit to the car.

The fit will be fine except the exhaust exit location will not line up with the cut outs on a GT valance.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. BTW, there are several shops around here that are equipped to mandrel bend pipe for exhausts so I don't see why it would be a problem finding one; after all, I live in hickville.

If you have access to a welder and cutoff saw then you could do it yourself. That's what I did with Summits mandrel bend stuff, x-pipe and chrome exhaust tips. Check out my first time exhaust job:

Getting it to fit through a 65/66 valance is tougher than a 67/68.
