I know that I'm lacking exhaust. I have a few ideas.

93 mustang lx. 408W, Vic jr heads, Victor EFI intake, TFS 2 Cam 1.7 RR, vortech t trim, Mondo bypass, 75mm throttle body, Snow meth injection, 95mm MAF, 72 lb injectors, Aeromotive fuel system, TKO 600, dual disc clutch, 3.55 gears.

BBK 1 3/4" swap long tube headers - 2 1/2" BBK X pipe with cats hollowed out - Mac mufflers- 2 1/2" Pipes out the back.

I drive to and from the track which is about 35 miles. Other than that it's a drag car. I get the car state of PA inspected in January of each year.

I want to keep the BBK headers because was so much trouble to clear the steering shaft. With BBK long tube headers other manufacture's mid pipes won't fit, so I guess I'm keeping the BBK X pipes. I'm open to changing the X pipes if there's someone knows of larger ones that would fit the BBK headers. I was thinking of getting the Flowtech Warlock muffers with the cutouts and maybe putting some electric cutouts on them with turn downs.

Any more ideas?

I would use 3" xpipe and a non chambered straight through muffler like a dynomax bullet.

Can you weld? A Dr Gas X pipe will work well and you should be able to bolt the 3" up ans open your collectors on the BBK to close to 3".

What needs to be welded on the Dr. Gas x pipes? My welds are decent only working on the bench. Position welds are much tougher to do.

I bought some 3" Pro Dumps and VRS Exhaust 3" X pipes for the BBK headers. The problem is even though the BBK have a 3" collectors it has a 2 1/2" ball joint and the 3" socket joint on the X pipe doesn't match up. I'm think of cutting the ends off of the BBK headers and welding up a 3" ball joint so I can make these work. I been looking around Web for pictures.

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

If you know where a local big rig truck shop is, you can get s.s. 3" band clamps, simply cut off the ball end of your header and but up the new x pipe, wrap the clamp around them both and tighten, these clamps work great, no welding involved!

Ive used a die grinder to open up the collector to 3" in the past. Just take your time so you dont go to far.

While its to late the Dr Gas is all individual pieces you weld together. Tack and mock up on the car then weld on the bench.

I ended up cutting 1 1/2" off of the BBK collectors and bought some 3" ball flanges from Summit and cutting a 1 3/4" off of them and wellding them up. I forgot what a pain it is to remove these headers. Steering shaft drivers side and jack up the engine for the passenger side.

Got it back together today and ran it. 3" collectors, x pipes and pro dumps. I'm impresssed with the deeper tone. I'm going to see this weekend if it helps with my ET's and trap speeds.
