Exhaust?? Is there anyway to get that new mustang sound?

Is there a way to get the newer mustang 96-04 mustang sound out of a 68 289??
I plan on changing the cam to a new voodoo cam, edelbrock intake, holley carb, and afr heads. the bottom end will get forged pistons and arp rod bolts, but thats about it.
So, anyway?? What muffler or system??

I like the sound of my lumpy cam, headers and dual turbo mufflers better than the newer Stangs. Anyone can have loud, I want the "quality" loud.

I agree, I wish my Saleen sounded like my 66 did. Don't get me wrong, my Saleen is plenty fast and has that unique blower whine when your into it but nothing sounded better than my 347ci with Hooker super comps, X-pipe and Borla XR1's.

Tri-Y headers, duals with turbos ( I like Dynomax's myself) and an X, or H pipe between the collectors and mufflers. On my 89 Ranger (V8) I have a 4"dia. x 12" long "equalizer" pipe I built myself between the headers and mufflers that gave it a nice mellow, smooth tone. Similar to my 06 Stang's sound.
