I get a high pitch whinning or whistling after driving the car for awhile. It happens after I have been driving the car for a bit and I let off the gas and let the car just cruise. As soon as I touch the gas it goes away but when I let off again it comes back. It sounds as if it is coming from the exhaust at the back of the engine. When I looked under the hood there seems to be air(exhaust) coming from around the last header, towards the back of the engine, where it meet the head on the driver side. I re-tightend the bolt down but can still feel some air pressure coming out. Does this mean the gasket is shot? I assume there is a correlation between this exhaust leak and the noise?
Additionally, my belt tensioner is making a rack of noise because it is constantly slapping against the tensioner's stop. My serpentine belt is new(less than 10k) and is still extremely tight. When I inspected the belt tensioner itself, I can physically push it and see it move without an extreme amount of pressure. Is this normal? How can I get rid of the slapping against the stop? Thanks.
