Exhaust leak - lose power?

Would an exhaust leak at the header cause a loss of power or a hesitation/sputtering of the engine? My car started making some different exhaust sounds recently and felt like it was hesitating/sputtering and today on the way to work it sounds like something totally came loose.

I wish this happened at home so I could jack it up and check it out but here I am at work, worrying about my car

i have somewhat of the same problem but im not sure if mine is a leak. mine makes this random loud pop noise sometimes when i slowly start to give it gas or just give it gas really fast at low rpms. not exactly sure what that is but mine also sputters and hesitates.

so im needing the same help as him

Yeah I was on vacation last week in North Carolina and that's when it started hesitating/slipping/bucking as I was cruising around. I'm not sure if mine is a leak, it's just that the sound it was making made me think it was.

BUT, now that I think about I heard a loud noise before the car really started making weird sounds... I will go out and pop the hood/check the exhaust again around lunch...
