I had a Mac O/R H and flowmaster 40s and I didn't think it was that loud, until I heard my car when someone else drove it. My parents actually yelled at me for gunning it when I was over 1/2 mile away (on a still night). If you do decide on straight through mufflers, try the LM2s, not LM1. LM1 + O/R pipe sounds like trash
lol yeah. i dunno i might stay with what i got, caus ei get alot of complemnts on my exhaust its loud when your standing behind it and someone hits the gas
Well, if you like what you've got and don't mind getting rid of your tailpipes, you could always dump your exhaust in front of the rear axle. That's always a sure fire way of making an exhaust system louder. The drawback to this is, of course you don't get to look at those nice shiny tailpipes anymore and you may end up stinking out your car with exhaust fumes in stop and go traffic.
Go to a junk yard and find a couple of those big 50 gallon oil drums and take the caps off.
Now, look under your car at the mufflers. Next to the outlet pipe there is a debossed circle. Get those cut out so that the oil drum caps fit into them.
Now, when you want your exhaust to be louder, just uncap the mufflers and you're ready to go. Doesn't even make the sound raspy, just amps up the volume.

That’s essentially doing the same thing as the "dumps" I described above do. The difference being is that the dumps will direct the hot exhaust gases away from the rear end and more importantly, the rear brake lines.
all of yall have good points and ideas.. i may think about the dumps, but i dunno about the gas fumes, i get headaches easy this wekekend im gonna go out with my freinds and theres alot of mustangs that hang out and im gonna see what setups they have.. thanks for all of you alls info....:SNSign:
