well im trading in my GT tomorrow on a 2004 cobra w/ 5k miles on it. I want to change the exhaust first. I was thinking about the SLP x pipe and flowmasters. Would this sound good? Or should I think about something else. Also should I get new mufflers welded in or should I get a cat back kit. I dont want any fitment problems. Should this trhead be in the SVT forum?

personally i would go with Bassani or Borla. nothing against flowmaster, but those 2 exhausts sound absolutely awesome.

Borla Stingers absolutely destroy anything else on the 03/04 Cobras.

Since most of us here are just trying to plug the brand of what catback we own, I'll say Magnaflow.

Besides, every time I hear the word "Flowmaster" I think of some hick and a pickup truck or rusted Camaro with the an infamous Tree-Fity (350) under the hood. I don't think they even sound that great.

P.S:

Why did you mod your car like you did then now you want to trade it in on a 04 cobra?

You wasted alot of time and money. I wouldn't trade unless you take all your mods off and put all the stock stuff back in and then you can go sell those mods for $$ for mods for ur cobra.

I started with the magnaflow catted xpipe with cats with the Borla stingers. When I put the Kenne Bell on I swapped out the xpipe for a dr gas one and the car was way to loud. So I then removed the stingers and put on the magnaflows and I have been happy every since.
