Exhaust on Cobra

For those with a 93 Cobra or a rear bumper from a 93 Cobra, how are you installing an aftermarket exhaust system? I called MustangsUnlimited and Flowmaster and both said the kits for the 87-93 LX will not fit a Cobra. I can't compare both cars side by side, but looking underneath, I don't see how the Cobra is any different.

I have a set of Dynomax tailpipes for an LX and they fit fine with my Cobra rear bumper?

I've heard of guys using lx kits with slightly longer tailpipe hangars

I have a Cobra rear bumper on my 91 GT with 2 1/2 inch flowmaster catback for an LX but i have 3.5 welded on tips. Fits perfect for me
