Exhaust opinion

I heard a 91 mustang and loved it. I caught him and he was running Mac headers,off road H,Mac mufflers and it sounded really throaty and smooth. It's the kind of exhaust that when you hear it you have to look but it's not like a Harley passing you by. My ? is. i am running in my 93 vert, stock headers, Mac high flow cat H-pipe and Flowmaster 2 chambers. If I change the mufflers only, would I get close to that sound, and would headers be even better. I know he has off road and headers that will breathe better. Do the Mac's just sound different? I have always ran Flows. Thanks for any info. Which kind of Mac mufflers also?

With a catted H-pipe you will never get the sound that a Off-road H-pipe does. I would have upgraded the headers by now since the factory ones seem so restrictive in comparison to aftermarket ones.

I've got longtubes, H-pipe, and MAC's............and I'm going to swap to 3 chamber flows...

I'm old school (for the flow generation) I guess.

we just put a set of 1 and 3/4 long tubes, mac pro chamber, and mac full exhaust 3 inch with 3 inch tips on my buddys 351 coupe, holly hell, want to talk about a sound, at Idle you can tell the motors strong but when he romps on it, man it just screams a note that is INCREDIBLE
