Mufflers with dumps..

My friend is thinking about changing out his 2-chamber Flowmaster (dumps) with something new. He has BBK shorties, o/r h as well (2.5"). He runs a 90 GT vert, btw.

He's strongly considering Mac produmps, but wants to know if there's enough tone and volume difference than the Flowmaster 2-chamber dumps.

Also, what other mufflers are available with dumps (without welding in)? He was looking at Hooker Aerochambers but I'm not sure if it comes with dumps..

Thanks, I couldn't find too much on comparison with dumps when I searched..

i had bbk equal length headers, o/r h-pipe, and 2 chamber flows now, and mac dumped mufflers before.

the mac seemed deeper sounding, but the flowmasters are louder as the rpms climb. didnt have the mac ones on for very long, but i prefer the flowmasters over them.

im switching my h-pipe out for an x-pipe to get more of a toned sound now, i think it will be perfect.

i have fms shorties, mac o/r H, and 2chamber flows dumped. So it seems similar to what u are talkin about. it has a very deep rumbly tone to it and its loud but doesnt really sound like a "mustang" if u know what i mean. the exhaust note is much more seperated then a stang with tails. I dont know you either like it or u dont. Personally i am going with side exit pipes soon, just cuz im sick of the sound of dumps and the rumble you feel in the seats.
