Ok guys, help me out here, I currently have flowmasters on my car, and whoever put them in before I bought it did a crappy job. The one on the right side dips down a little low and hits the ground when going over uneven terrain, and the pipes that come out the back look terrible (one points more up, one points more down.)

I'm leaning towards getting some Flowmaster American thunders, question is how hard of an install is this going to be for me. I read that these are cat-back type muffler, but I dont have a cat converter(offroad h-pipe instead)

I dont want to get in over my head when it wouldnt be that expensive to buy that part and pay a muffler shop to do it.

Heeeelllllpppp

Putting a catback on is a fairly easy process. All my pipes are bolted together so there was no welding to be done. I have an o/r h pipe and a flowmaster catback. Just took off the stock stuff, and put the aftermarket stuff on and bolted up nicely and didnt take long at all.... be I use using a lift

Just take the car to a muffler shop and they will fix it. Why buy a whole new kit? Both are by Flowmaster, they are both the same thing. I would just take your "crooked" system to a shop and have them cut and weld it back to fit good. If you don't like your tips, search on eBay and find some stainless tips that you do like and have the muffler shop cut the flowmaster tips off and weld the SS tips on. Stock tips are good looking if you can find a decent priced used set.

:stupid:

The mufflers are the same, so unless one is rusted or falling apart, don't replace what isn't broken. Any exhaust shop can straighten and repair a bad install--it isn't rocket science. You might want to ask if your tailpipes are 2.5"; alot of people just weld in the flowmasters without getting a bigger diameter. You will want to upgrade your mufflers and tailpipes if they are still 2.25", stock. Otherwise, you won't see a hp gain.
