Ok, so here goes. I have the magnapack catback on my 01 w/ the magnaflow x-pipe. I was wondering what my options are for new mufflers if i get tired of the packs. Is it possible to cut out the mufflers and add say like the Mac, or maybe spintech mufflers to the cat back. I know the packs are center in/out outlets i just wasn't sure if the casing of the other mufflers are a different size and what would need to be done when i decide to change? Is it even possible?

i dunno, it's just kinda like a CD. If you listen to the same one over and over, you will eventually get tired of it.

Just buy another cat-back. then, just swap it out in your driveway when ever u feel like changing it. Then, u can have 2 set-ups and can change them out whenever you feel like u want another exhaust note.

One of the main reasons i bought the packs is because of the price and the quality compared to other catbacks at the time. Before they raised their prices magnaflow was almost as expensive as other catbacks that weren't stainless steel, and i would like to keep the stainless piping if possible without having to buy a whole new catback. If i do change i'm probably going to go w/ a chambered muffler because it's different than what i have, and i don't know of any chambered catbacks that are stainless steel.
Now i'm not going to do this any time soon because i'm happy with what i have. I just want to know what my options are so i can take the least expensive route when the time comes.

Yes you can do that, I did it with my magnacrap uh magnapack catback. I hated the sound and the drone. Just take it to a muffler shop that does good work and they can do it. My Borla XR-1's are center in/out but a good exhaust shop should be able to change them out for you.

you would be better off getting a new catback. i used to have the magnapack catback as well and decided to change to a mac catback. i got the mac catback for $269 and i think it sounds better than the magnapacks.

Being that i live in utah where it snows in the winter i would prefer to keep it stainless steel if possible. If i lived anywhere else i wouldn't mind so much.
