exhaust question

I was just plotting out som combos and was wondering what would be better. I was wondering if you had a 347 stroker what would be better, 1 5/8 longtubes with 2.5 inch catback or anderson fords 1 3/4 shortys style headers and flowmasters 3 inch exhaust with the d crossover. What do you guys think would be be the benefits of each and what would be better I have both laying around. The combo would be a 347 with compcams 282hr edelbrock victor jr heads trickflow track heat intake fox 75 mm tbody and an s trim vortech

I think the longtubes would definately scavange the exhaust better, but at 1 5/8" they might be to small. So I'd go with the 1 3/4, eventhough they are shorties, and the 3" exhaust because it's a 347 with Vic. Jr.'s and a Vortech. That way the exhaust won't be a "bottle neck."

I didnt think you needed 3" exhaust unless you were running crazy HP

Its not crazy horspower but from what I heard the 3 inch system from flowmaster wasnt bad plus being stroked and blown I would think the bigget the exhaust the better. You really think the 1 3\4 shoties would be better then the longtubes?
