Exhaust question

Hello fello stangnetters. I have a question concerning exhaust combinations. I was looking at a thread on here (Ryan is this the color you are looking for....or something to that effect) and couldn't help but be impressed by the sound of that little blue notch. I have BBK longtubes, H pipe and Flowmasters on my 90 LX. I really like the sound of the X pipe and MagnaFlows on the blue notch. What I want to know is engine combo notwithstanding (more cubes compression and cam compared to my 9:1 E cammed 5.0L) which makes more difference? The X pipe or the MagnaFlows. I can get a shorty off road X pipe from Summit for around 200, but I priced the mufflers and their unit price was almost as much!. So if I was only going to change one, which would this esteemed group recommend? H pipe for X pipe or Flowmasters for MagnaFlows?

By the way, if there is anyone on here from the Redneck Riviera (Corpus Christi area) I will be moving there next month. Gonna go back to sea Texas style!

The mufflers will give you a greater differance in sound. But the cam is the deciding factor as to what it sounds like.

get a dr gas x pipe. it has a superior design over all of the other midpipes. www.drgas.com go to the articles and read all of that info. good material there about exhausts.
