I'm trying to figure out what i want to do with my exhaust but in the mean time i am thinking about just taking my mufflers off and just running strait pipes with some tips on it to make it look nice what with this do for my sound will it still sound nice or will it be rediculesly loud, will it have any effect on my power with the reduced back pressure or would it have to little back pressure any input you have would be great i have always wanted a mustang and this is my first one so i dont know much about what will make it sound good or bad thank you for your time

Since you said mufflers, i'm assuming you had installed or bought the car with dual exhaust. If you take both off, you can drive with it and it will be somewhat loud when you get on it. Not deafening, but enough to turn heads. You will lose some back pressure and thus some low end power too.

I ran SLP dual axle backs for awhile, and those are basically straight pipes with nice tips (made for GT). After a while I started getting annoyed by the drone inside the car, and was more worried about back pressure and the possibility of burning my valves. So I put my GT Takeoffs back on. I should invest in some proper dual V6 mufflers for my car someday as the GT Takeoffs are a tad too quite.

Check out the videos in my YouTube Channel. A few videos in there relating to how my exhaust sounds with and without axle backs.

You can take it off and drive it around to see how it sounds for a bit. I can vouch driving around a couple a thousand miles on my Dual SLP's. And a single exhaust would have more back pressure than them. No harm done. But of course you will want to have some sort of muffler on there eventually for support and for looks. :)

i went and had the muffler cut off last night and had a strait pipe with i think a 4 in. stainless steal tip put on and it sounds really nice the larger tip gives it a deep echo and it sounds really nice it sounds like a v8 to me and its not to loud its just right and with the tip it makes it look really good to i think i might just stay with it but we will see how it goes

Yeah, the V6's don't sound that bad at all. Just don't stand behind someone else's V8 and have them start it up. It makes you go "eww, mine doesn't sound as dreamy as this!" lol. I always think mine sounds like a V8 until I hear a real one, lol.
