ever since i bought this car the flows with the o/r h had always sounded really raspy at 2k rpm. it would somewhat fade when the car warmed up but was always there. friday night i left to go to chicago and came back early this morning, this was the first time i ran the car pretty hard on the highway, more than a few downshifts to 3rd at 70 ect. this car wasnt a daily driver when i bought it, it was stored for the winters and then driven every few days during the week. the car feels a lot smoother after this trip, 5th gear at 40 doesnt shake the car anymore like it used to. with the exhaust i noticed right after i got off the highway at the end of the trip that the 2k raspyness was gone. i thought maybe because the car was warmed up and everything, but when i came out during the afternoon with the car cold from sitting in the wind for 8 hours i started driving and it was still gone. i was considering resonators because of it before. what caused the exhaust note to perminently change though? even though im glad..im just curious to know. thanks!
