I was wondering how accurate the sound clips are for each exhaust setup. For the time being I am highly depended on sound clips due to the lack of modded S197's in this city. The Flowmasters are still high on my list, but I am also looking at the CherryBomb extremes, and the Pypes mid-pipe system.

I was at one time looking to get the Motoblue RS, but due to the many negative, but helpful feedback of RPM Outlet I have decided it is not worth the risk.

Sound clips are dependant on the recording and playback devices as well as your own personal hearing and where the recording was made, distance, RPM bands recorded through, existing modification to the vehicle being recorded, etc. Even live runs will sound different to each individual, based on where you are standing, other sound interruptions your mind decodes, and the existing modifications on the vehicle, etc.

What sound are you looking for? Deep tone with no drone. Deep tone with deep drone, Mid tone with mild drone, no tone with no drone. LOL. The list is extensive and the modifications to make it happen for you will be based on your end intended result and your cash flow.

As far as the sound I am looking for, the only thing I really require is that it is deeper and louder than stock. Drone and trumpeting doesn't bother me. I am a little partial to the sound of the Corvettes, 97 and up of course. I'm not looking to spend a lot on just a system itself. Eventually, I will add an O/R H pipe and new headers.

It would be nice to find a place other than RPM Outlet that sells Motoblue RS. I assume Motoblue RS is another name for Flo Pro twisters with the hangers and 4" tips

A cheap alternative to get slightly louder than stock and absolutely no drone is going with the Pypes O/R H pipe only. I ran this combo while I had to swap my stock mufflers back on while I had a problem with my Flows. Here are 2 clips of mine when I was running that setup.

I love my Flows and Pypes O/R H pipe setup!!!!! Drone doesn't bother me either.

I actually tried to buy those, and RPM Outlet shipped me Violators. I couldn't be happier with the Violators, though. They sounds just like stock, only louder and deeper.

Uh huh! Because of that "ding", I picked up an additional 15 HP!!!!! Oh, on second thought maybe that power increase came from the plastic Ford intake cover Maybe with the Flows on there instead of the stock mufflers it might have been drowned out I will have to get some updated clips with them on there...someday
