Im looking to upgrade to a catted x pipe. What do you recommend and what will I benefit out of a catted x pipe as opposed to factory cats? And where is the cheapest place to find one? The reason I ask is my cats have been gutted due to stoppage and need to upgrade.

SLP - They are stainless steel and modular (the cats can be removed).

2.5" (as opposed to 2.25") mandrel bent tubing with high flow cats, worth about 5-10 RWHP

Cheap and Recommended aren't the same in this category...at least not to me. A cheaper alternative is MAC.

I would buy a bbk uncatted x pipe, then get carsound cats off ebay for 50 bucks a piece, get them welded in and youll save about 50-75 dollars...or you could just get a shop to make you one for cheap.

Does anyone have this x pipe? Is it any good?

http://www.mustangtuning.com/cattedxpipe.html

And if so would you need MILS?

Why are you keeping your cats? E-tests? I just put a SLP O/R (no cats) X-pipe on my car along with LTs and a new cat-back. I have no cats at all and I love it. Didn't trip my SES light and I didn't buy MIL eliminators or anything. What's cool about SLP is that they replace the cats with Race Pipes, so you can still buy the cats from them and slide them in if you need to pass any emission tests.

get the bassani O/R X pipe, I origionally got a catted pipe and I say its a waste of money, go O/R bassani X its cheaper and sounds/performs better, otherwise find a used catted one it won't make too much difference from stock though

just get rid of the cats all together. i have a UPR O/R X it cost me $140. Definatly a noticable gain on the assdyno especially in 4th gear between 75 and 90mph. i have it paired with the stock catback as of right now and it sounds great. i have magnaflows that are going to get some 2.5" flow tubes then dumped i know this thing is going to sound mean. i can't freaking wait!

have any sound clips of what your car sounds like or something similair to what it may sound like. Not looking for something extremely loud. Just something that sounds mean!

with the factory catback it sounds identical just much louder. i have gotten lots of compliments on it. though it is going to sound 100 times better when the magnaflows go on it.

i heard my setup for the first time outside of the car and it sounds pretty damn good for factory mufflers.
