Ive had a stock 2002 Auto GT for about a month and am ready for a new exhaust...i want a low rumble...mostly sounding like a big engine american car...no import sound at all..which would be the best for it?? and also Which mods that i can install myself (bolt on) would add the most HP to my stock AUTO???

The classic mustang sound is Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. Many people also dig the Magnaflows. Ck these and many more out at www.mustangexhaust.com - register (for free and it's immediate) to listen to the sound clips.
Also use the search function on this forum for two tons of info on exhaust, shifters, gears, etc, etc, etc.
Welcome aboard...prepare to part with your savings account!

check Ebay for some original 40 series mufflers and have them welded in for about 50 bucks. Also, once the MOd bug bites you, you're diseased like the rest of us.
-My Gt was totalled and i have a truck for now...and its been passed on I'm finding myself buying a 3" lift, 33" tires and different wheels, and dynomax exhaust

long tube headers, o/r midpipe, exhaust, 4.10 gears, Jerry Mod (do a search to learn more. Its an auto tranny mod that will bring it to life), tranny cooler, PI Stallion stall converter, K&N filter, cams, timing adjuster, U/D pullies, suspension mods (lowering springs, UCAs/LCAs, subframes etc...), Nitrous.

all of those mods you can do yourself (except the gears). Just search around the forum a bit and you will learn a lot.

Do you think the american thunder setup for my o2 auto GT would still give it that nice low rumble???

definetly. Add an o/r hpipe and you will get the classic sound you are looking for.

i couldn't find the clip, but i found you and houstongt got a thing with the slp's ... it's fine, i guess you don't have to like a particular sound, after all, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
i posted a couple of clips (slp vs single chambered dronemasters), maybe the loudmouth sounds different on the 2v engine, i don't know, everybody can see how the loudmouth would sound on a 4v engine with stock h pipe, and is not really close to the sound of any single or double or not matter how many chambers crapmasters you want to put on
but hey, i respect you guys opinions, i hope you would respect mine

could you or houstongt post the clip???
now you make me wonder about the weak sound of the slp's, i've heard them on mach1's, and 99/01/03 cobras, never on a gt....
i can't believe they would sound weak on the 2v engine,,, of course a O/R X plus flowmasters is really really weak for me, no matter what car, the raspy sound would give me a huge headache, but that's just me
no biggies...
