If you look under your car you'll see your exhaust is basically 3 sections. If you start from the back you'll first see the cat-back system. This goes from the tips of the exhaust up to just in front of the axle. You'll see some flanges in front fo the axle which bolt to a mid-pipe. The mid-pipe has a set of cats on it. The mid-pipe can be replaced with an x or h pipe with either high flow or no cats. Further toeards the fromt you will see collectors attched to the front of the mid-pipe. That is where the exhaust manifolds attach to the mid-pipe. The manifolds can be replaced with headers (shorty, mid-length or longtube). Hope this helps some.
