I just put on a Magnaflow Magnapack catback on my car and at first it felt like i lost some power but after driving it a little while it seemed like it wasn't slower. I mean i didn't buy the catback for power, because you don't get really much off a catback, i just bought it for sound. One of my friends told me that the computer has to get used to the new exhaust and that may be why it felt slower, but i dunno if that is true or not? anyone agree/disagree?? any help would be great, thanks.

I just installed the same systems two nights ago. I did notice the same thing. It feels like a little power is gone in the lower RPM's but when you get about 2.5k and above it feels way more responsive. I have heard the same thing about the computer thing, but I dont know if its true or not

I was told the same thing when I got my exhaust put on. The computer has to relearn. It takes a few cycles to adjust. Just drive it and you'll be fine. I noticed no loss of power down low.

yeah, maybe unhook the battery for a while, then just drive it after that and it should go away.

hey i noticed your sn is red bullitt, is your car really a bullitt? I thought in 2001 Ford Released the Bullitt in Dark Green only, but my friends are telling me it was also released in red and black as well. They said like 500 something of each color were released or something like that?

The 2001 Bullitt came in 3 colors: Highland Green, Black, and Blue. Alittle over 5,500 of them were produced.

Are the mufflers that came with the catback straight through? I heard that straight through mufflers will lose some low end but gain high end and chambered mufflers are good for low end.

all right well an update...it maybe have seemed like it was slow for the first couple days, but it is definitely back to normal and a little some. i can notice a slight bit, but nothing big. but the sound is a huge difference, my car sounds like a whole new car, i love the sound. can't beat it for $359 shipped and free install
