Exhaust

I am getting ready to take out my seats, and it appears I have to drop the exhaust to get to the inside seat bolts.

My question is which is the best place to drop the exhaust? Will I have enough clearance if I just diconnect it from the hangars?

I prefer to drop the exhaust in my garage, on a clean work floor.

The seat-belt bolts should be bolted in from the INSIDE. While the hangars may use the bolt, they should come of BECAUSE you removed the bolts not IN ORDER TO remove the bolts.

I wouldn't worry about damaging the exhaust by such a drop unless it is already damaged or rusted. If you are more paraniod about it you could stack lumber up under the mufflers so they can only fall an inch or so. Either that or have a help hold them up when they fall.

I am not so much worried about the damaging the exhaust when removing, but I am trying to see where it would be best and easiest to disconnect the exhaust in order to get to the seat bolts.
