Ok first...coating looks just fantastic, really a nice addition to the bay in terms of finishing touches....Good.

Second...underhood temps are down considerably, though the car was only idled up to temp in the garage today I can say without a doubt that under hood temps are down substantially....VERY GOOD.

Third...regardless of how much the temps are reduced by the coating you should not allow your finger to sit on the header pipe with attempting to retorque the header bolts.....oh so very very bad...

So that's all I have to say...looks great, works great...hurts like a mother.

Well it wouldn't get as hot :D

So true.. that's good news for those of you who've ever been hit in the head by a brick falling from outer space.

From now on, all bricks should be ceramic coated to prevent burning someone when they fall from space.

We should immediately mention this bit of legislation to the democrats so can continue to assist in protecting us from ourselves.

I am pretty impressed with the durability of the ceramic coating on my Bassani headers... Not long ago, I fired up the car and let it idle. I'd left the large vac port off on the intake side of the blower and the thing ran really lean. The headers glowed a really pretty orange for a while. It cooled right down and was just as shiney as new.

Nice!

You Canadians are smarter than us 'Mericans though... We still can't figure out if a UFO really crashed back in the 40's (Roswell)

BTW - I burnt my pinky finger on a turkey roster this weekend. But I did make a killer sandwich with the leftovers.

Burnt my finger on my headers a couple of weeks ago. It just turned all white and then peeled off and all of the new skin just barely came back. Damn that hurt. I feel your pain Derek.

back when when i raced sprint cars(which have the the headers outside of the frame), the joke was that whoever got the brand new shiney $700 collar jet hot coated headers would smash them first race, and damned if it almost never failed, needless to say our header swere rattle caned in the flat black hue
i have the dull ceramic coated headers on my hatch and they do wonders for under hood temps, have yet to leave any skin on the so that is a plus, don't they sell gloves in canada??

I feel very close to you right now....love the frosted white skin look :(. Ah well not the first time, won't be the last...but this time she was a stinger though.

They're great but remember, they will eventually rust. It was a sort of myth when ceramic started getting popular that they won't rust, but they will definately given enough time and exposure.

I'm a cheap ass, i'm gonna wrap mine the next time i have them out. Old school all the way!
