If it has less miles than your current 5.0 why not just use the whole engine? Swap the accecories and throw a cam in her, the you will have a nice gt40 engine, with possible less miles than your current one.And you wont have to remove the heads ,

I'm gonna have to disagree with that one. I just bought one that had like 30k miles on it and apparently it went it's whole life without an oil change. the sluddge that came out from behind the pistons had a life of it's own and was making a run for freedom. some seriously scary $hit.
if they only want 500 for it buy it, take the heads/intake and part the rest out. the accessories and timing cover sell quick as will the fuel rails and injectors. then you can clean the block and sell it too.

It would be far more economical to go that route if it is a lower mileage engine.

dont forget the 65mm TB can be converted for a fox.

I found my 97 explorer motor for 150. took the heads/intake/tb and left them the block. I just had no room to store a motor, but wish i could have kept it.

are you going to use the whole motor or just swap top ends?
if you go with the whole motor then I would swap over the fuel rails, dist, and all the accessories from your fox. should not need any fabbing at all.
