EXPLORER Parts??

Heads and intake will work, but I believe only certain years because of the water passages. I know my dad has a set of Explorer GT-40Ps on his car, and with all the supporting mods, and a stock cam the car went 12.38 @ 110. Maybe someone with the heads and intake can tell you the years that work.

95-97 heads are GT40, 97+ heads are GT40P - Ford made the switch in 87. You can use the intake and throttle body with small modifications - the intake must have the ACT and EGR coolant holes drilled and tapped (3/8" NPT) if you have a 87-93 car. the 95-97 early intake has the EGR ports cast into the upper and lower. 98+ intakes do not. For 94-95 cars no mods required as they have external EGR.

All the heads are a bolt on, but you may have to drill the air injection ports in the heads if they don't have them and you need them for emissions inspection. The GT40P heads require P specific headers.

Edit: corrected typo - thanks
