Does anyone have a 92 body style explorer 4x4? I need to see how to put it in 4WD. We dont have a manual for it and when you push the button on the dash the light dont come on, but for a breif sec. you can hear the RPM's drop then resume back up. But you realy dont notice a diffrence in the handleing? I crank the wheels all the way one way and go as i look out the window but the front wheel i see dosent spin it just rolls? Do they have limited slip in the front? peace

Sounds like a frozen transfer case motor to me. Very common this time of year!
Yes all your suppose to do i guess is hit the button. There is 2 buttons one to turn it on/off and one for low range. peaceboomr said:Could be a switch, could be the transfer case shift motor. Does the vehicle have the auto hubs?
