Would like to get an idea of whats out there in the way of export braces and monte carlo bars, PICS would be awesome.

I`ve seen some adjustables in mags, they look kinda cool, but big investment with no working knowledge of them yet.....

Also how would I know if I needed a curved versus straight monte carlo bar?

I installed a stock-type export brace and a curved Monte bar at the same time. The combo made a big difference in chassis rigidity and overall solid feel, and was more than worth the money. I wouldn't think there would be any real advantage to aftermarket designs, adjustable bars, etc., unless you were building a race car or super serious "G-machine".

AFAIK, the only reason for the curved bar is to clear the air cleaner. You can put a straight-edge across the engine compartment where the bar would go and see if it clears the air cleaner. The straight bar should be a little stiffer than the curved one, but again, there's probably no seat-of-the-pants difference unless you have a lot more suspension & tire than the typical modded street car.
