extra plug? in 67 ign switch

I just bought a new ignition switch, but when i was about to connect it i notice is has an extra plug, do you know what this is for? or what do i need to conect in there?

the one im talking about is the one that is outside the plastic wall:

You don't use it. I've never tested to see what it does, but every new switch I've gotten has it and you just leave it blank.

thanks. i did a test with the multimeter and it seems that it doesnt get continuity in any position of the key so i will leave it blank
