I bought an 88 LX to use as a donor for my FFR Cobra. It has T-tops, Saleen ground effects, and 94 front seats. The T-tops do NOT leak and make no wind noise when driving. The black paint is not perfect, but looks pretty good. The car was very solid, nice ride. I started taking the car apart, the interior is out, the front spindles & breaks are out, the rear is out, the engine (302 TFS h/c/i) is on a stand, and the tranny is my four-eye 93 along with the alum driveshaft.
I sold the FFR and don't know what I want to do with this car. I could put it back together as a roller and sell it. I'm not buying another tranny & driveshaft, have everything else, don't think I'll part with that engine anytime soon though. I was thinking about continuing to take the car apart and clean everythin up for my next FFR, I will be getting another soon. BUT, I was also thinking about buying everything new for the next FFR which means I would not need the parts off the 88. Then I thought about parting the whole car out and selling the body.
What do you guys think this car might be worth as a roller (everything but engine & tranny)?
What do you think an 88 T-top shell might be worth?
Any thoughts?
