EZ fix for yellowing headlights

Anybody else ever tried some Rubbing compound on their headlights? I did today and then put a coat of Turtle Wax on them and they look a whole lot better, definitely a budget alternative to some new ones.

Using plastic pollish is also a good way to de-yellow the headlight.

Another great way is to put CLR on a rag (being careful not to let the CLR touch any paint) and "polish" the headlights with it as it removes all of the minerals etc from the road. When it feels smooth wipe the headlight with a clean wet rag to remove any remaining CLR and polish it with MacGuire's #1 cleaner wax until it's completely smooth and brand looking new. The difference on my '95 was night and day. I also saw a friend use MacGuires Scratch-X, which worked but not as well as the CLR method.

Just did mine yesterday. I wet sanded using 2000 grit finishing sandpaper then used Mother's Plastic Polish. No more yellow headlights!

i use megiuars body scrub on mine,takes 10 min and doesn't wear down the lenses
