F cam and Stock heads???

Trick Flow makes a spring kit for the stock heads with aftermarket cams. I have a B303 w/ 1.73 rockers in my 90 GT and I put the Trick Flow springs in it. I got them from Summit Racing for like $130 bucks I think. I'll try to post a link.

Don't do it. Wait until you get the heads. You may not gain much other than a nice sounding, lopey idle. The stock heads don't flow well over 5K. This cam makes power well above that. How much gear do you have? If you don't have 4.10's or more, you will be burning a lot of gas for little to no gain.

Bullpoop, the B303 with stock heads made a significant difference on my car and the F303 is not that much different than the B303. He will get more power and contrary to popular belief you will have more pull farther up the rpm range. My stock head, B303, 1.73 roller rocker equiped (all that adds up to roughly the same lift as the F303 with a touch less duartion) 90 GT pulls hard right past 6,000 rpm (where power starts to fall off fast). Ported heads, will offer even better power increases, but the stock heads don't deserve the bad rep they have.

Yes, I ran the E303 on Stock Heads and springs. You should be okay with Stock springs depending on the mileage of the motor. If over 100k, I would switch to Edlebrock springs. They run around $60 in summit.

i have a notchback combo with stock heads, stock intake, and an E 303 cam that ran high 12s, i wanted to try the F303 in my next notch without upgrading the springs, but too many people are saying spring upgrade, so i may just do the stock heads with E303 and carb

i have the F cam with gt-40 iron heads and 1.7 roller rockers. my problem is that my stock manifold and 60mm TB are holding me back. but even so my motor pulls hard all the way to the stock rev limiter. my problem with the f-cam is that its not emissions leagal. im thinking about going to the E or the B cam so i can pass emissions...and honestly i dont think ill lose much top end power but ill gain low end for sure.
