F303 Or X303 In 351w

I had the X cam and similar problem with the idle. It pulls a lot of vacuum. I ran a small vacuum canister and it helped a lot with the cold start.

I loved the choppy idle and how the cam really woke around 2800 and pulled to rev limiter.

The F cam seems more reasonable and responds well to boost. I personally went with COMPs XE274hr after both. Very streetable and slight chop like the X cam

I have a 94 lighting with the e4od that has a mustang a9m mass air computer and a baumnan trans controller for the e4od. My current set is as follows. F4te 94 block with 10:1 forged Pistons, stock crank and rods with arp hardware. E303 cam comp pro magnum 1.6 stud mount roller rockers Windsor jrs heavily ported and polished intake to a 1262 and exhaust to a 1450 exhaust gasket. Gt40 upper and lower and the lower just has the ports cleaned up a bit. 30 lb injectors pro m 80mm mass air Kirban adjustable regulator. Stock 65 mm throttle body, Mac equal lengthy shorties into 2 1/2 exhaust without cats. 4.10 gears factory tech 2400 stall converter.msd tfi coil and 6al box. I know it's on the mild side with the e303 cam and the gt40 limiting power over 5k. It is very fun to drive though and runs great. Just wondering what anyone thinks it's makes as it sits before I get it tuned on dyno I have a sct 4 bank chip I'll install so I can have a few tunes saved on it. Timing is set at 14 right now.
My buddy has a 351w typhoon efi intake (performer rpm knock off)that's got some port work done to clean up the ugly port as it came.he is willing to let me throw in on and dyno it to see how it works compared to the gt40. I also have a brand new f303 I was thinking about installing and though it would match that intake better then the e303and would make more mid range and top end. I know either cams are not optimal in a heavy truck but the e works pretty darn well for what is it I would just like to get the most power out of it with the parts I have. Also recently acquired the x303 that's why I was curious of the 3 which would work the best

Out of those 3 cams I'd use the X. I think that one will make the most power. Now I have to say (and I'm sure you know) there are better choices out there. I'd probably sell the 2 cams you have and contact cam manufacturers for a recommendation. Best option is to contact Ed at flowtechinductions.com,Bullet cams,or another custom cam option. They will get you exactly what you want-best performance and good manners. All for 350-400$ total to your door and well worth it.
