Fact or Fiction: Flowtech fitment problems on '03 GTs

I have read various places on here, Modular Depot, and whatever T&Js forums are called that there is some sort of fitment problems when installing Flowtech headers on an '03. To me it doesn't make since, unless there is some sort of relocation of something that I'm not aware of between the '99-'02 cars and the '03.

Does anyone have the Flowtechs on an '03 car? If so, did they go right on or was it a PITA? I'm starting to put together the funds to get a set of ceramic coated Flowtechs to replace my uncoated Macs.

I'd like to do the heads, headers, and k-member all in one shot and would like to give the Flowtechs a chance this time and see how they work for $353 or whatever Summit is selling them for these days.

I've heard of some people saying Jet Hot brand headers don't fit on '03s but that is it. I don't see what difference there could be, maybe they changed the K member or something?

I haven't heard of too many people running Flowtechs at all. I have them on my '99 and they fit great, but I do have a tubular K member. Don't know if that helped the fit or not.

I'll be finding out soon!! I just ordered a set along with a Qa1 K-member from Summit!!! :spot:

Cool! Post what you find out. I've wanting to go with Flowtechs and a PA Racing K-member. Only reason why is I've read where the QA1 has lowered peoples cars more than they already were. I like the price, but I can't afford to go any lower :(

That's the exact setup I have, you'll like it.

With coil overs you can adjust the ride height so all you have to do is raise it up!! I already have D&D coil overs on the front and just ordered rear's from X2C.

I am pretty sure Nick is sticking with the stock a arms and his lowering springs instead of coilovers...which is what I want to do as well. I am also curious to see which k member retains the same ride height, even when used with lowering springs.

Yeah, thats what I'm planning on doing. There was a guy on Modular depot that did kept the stock arms and lowering springs with his QA1, and the car was almost resting on the ground. The PA Racing K-member also doesn't intrude on the engine bay and looks cleaner overall.

I have a set of non coated on my 03. Major PITA to get on. The driver side slip fit is leaking. and two studs on the same side had to be replaced with the bolts flowtech supplied, but after having done that I realize I should have just trimmed the tit off the studs. And you have to use their gaskets and not the stock ones because the machining or lack thereof on the flanges is kind of sloppy. I'm glad my stinger catback has adjustable length becasue the x-pipe was a little off where as every mid pipe I have ever owned was exactly like the stock h..........except for the mac o/r h I had which leaked. Overall, the headers are nice......it's what you would expect for half priced Hookers.

I used stock Ford gaskets with my headers with no issues. I would never use the trash gaskets Flowtech supplied with the headers. I was also expecting to reuse my stock studs but couldn't on the rear primaries so I used the Flowtech bolts on everything. They actally have a made on washer/lip that sort of seats into the flange, mine didn't require any retightening.
