Mustangs gone, but already checking into a new project. Anyone know anything about Factory Five Replica's? Looks like the Cobra replicas are now designed to be built using many many parts from a mustang donor car. Seems like a lot of people have built a nice Cobra for 20k...using a donor costing a few grand.

Sooooo.....maybe, just maybe I'll try to find me a decent donor car now, work on getting it running good and building it up a little, then in a few years swap out the powertrain and suspension and everything into a Cobra! Imagine a 300hp built 5.0 in a Cobra roadster.

If you are ever in Mass. you should go for the tour. My brother and I went on it about a year ago. I couldn't convince him to stuff a pair of Bilstein shocks down his pants though (kidding).

The folks that took us on the tour were all car guys. Most of them had Stangs so you could really talk to them. At the end they gave us all brochures with DVD's.

No test drives though.

If I ever do it, we'll race

Building up a car is something I've always wanted to do....FFR seems to make it pretty affordable. Now I have to start looking for the donor car. 5.0 stang would be perfeeeeeeeeect!

03 Cobra donor would be awesome too....but it sounds like those aren't as interchangeable due to the S/C.

mity--- where do you live? that looks like the one this dude in wadsworth has.

one of my long term plans for my car is the 6 speed swap then isntrad of supercharging- spending the same amount ad getting the booste cobra motor.. that way i have a spare wellmainained 4.6 and 5 speed for a kit car either lotus 7 style(cause they are cheap) or an a/c cobra someone lost interest or money on. and to think--- my wife talked me into my gt.

DVD is on its way, can request thru web page too. They don't have their parts list up for the MKIII yet....curious what all comes with the basic package.
