Factory Valve Covers

So I bent my valve covers so out of shape that they are no longer usable...Long story..So i was gonna go to the junkyard tommarow to pickup a set...what year 302 has the tallest valve covers? I have a slightly higher lift cam and require high lift valve covers. So what should i ask for them off of?

I have no experiance in this but I do read up alot. You might want to order some tall valve covers from summit, jegs, ford racing, etc. If its cost your concerned with ford racing has tall valve covers in chrome starting at like $52. It seems the 87-93 HO valve covers have some more room then the non HO and 94+ offerings.

The stock 93 Cobra covers are a bit taller to cover the 1.7 rollers....

I bought a set of black stamped VC's on Ebay for $16. Nothing special, yet! Since they are clean, I can paint them and airbrush them. Yea!
