My '03 'vert has bolt-on subframe connectors from the factory. While I realize that as a rule, welded-in is better than bolt-on, would I notice a signficant difference on my street-driven car if I had them welded in, or is the bolt-on rig "good enough"?

Get a set of Maximum Motorsports full-length subframe connectors with the cross braces (included). Worth every penny.

Ditto what they said. I also have the MM full lenght sub's...really tightened it up.

I tossed my stock one from my vert.

The guy who did my sub's actually laughed at the factory one's.

as i've stated before: factory subframes are about as effective as duct-taping a broom handle to your chassis. a plastic one, not even one of the good wooden ones.

mm subframes here also

I had the same bolt on subframe connectors that came stock on my Bullitt. They helped. I took them off for about a month prior to getting some new full length ones and I could easily tell the difference without any compared to having the stock bolt ons.. So the stock ones do help. I was surprised that after have some full lengths and jacking rails welded in. There was a noticable difference between the bolt ons and welded. I am glad I did it.

How much do they cost, including installation?

Just the subframes are around $100 plus about $150 or so for install. The Kenny Brown subframes, extreme brace and jacking rails are around $300 plus about $300 or so for install.

I had some tubular sub frames I never installed on my 89 and went to see if they would fit. Of coarse they didn't but they charged me $50 for some vert subs including installation.
