hey guys

i have an 87 gt and the quarter window moldings are starting to fade in some places. Any ideas of how to get them black again? Can I just get a can of black spray paint for them? Ive been told that the molding and the window are one piece so its kinda pricey to get brand new moldings because you have to get the window also. Any suggestions of what to do to get them black again? Im located in calgary if it helps any

Thanks in advance

Cheers

I've seen Armour All do wonders to old faded plastic. Just apply it with a rag, leaving lots on, then let it sit over night. Do the same thing again the next day.
But, the only thing with trying that is, if it doesn't work, you won't be able to try painting as the Armour-all will be soaked into the plastic. :(
I have seen a paint/dye for plastic at Canadian Tire that may work. Not sure if they still have it or not:shrug:

Some people have had luck sanding them down to make them smooth again as they generally become pitted when they fade. You may want to try that or possibly check out a wrecker for a better set as they bolt in place and can be changed.Just remember that the coupe and hatch models use a different window.
